Why Bokod Anodizing?
Our Hungarian-owned business has been dealing with the natural, hard, and colored anodizing and passivation of aluminum parts since 2016. Below we have summarized what you can expect if you entrust us with your surface treatment.
Durable protection
Anodizing is not a subsequently applied coating, but the transformation of aluminum's own surface. The resulting oxide layer does not peel off, improves corrosion and wear resistance, as well as surface hardness.
Eco-friendly technology
During anodizing, no peeling coating is formed, and for passivation, we use SurTec 650 technology, which does not contain hexavalent chromium. During our operations, we pay special attention to environmental protection.
Precise and consistent quality
We work with modern technology and manual service, ensuring that the surface is even and reproducible, without any runs in the bores. We continuously monitor and improve our manufacturing processes.
Reliable partner
We have been providing industrial contract manufacturing services as a Hungarian-owned company since 2016. We fulfill every order to the quality standards and by the deadlines specified by our customers.
Short deadline, flexibility
As a small business, we maintain personal relationships with our partners, allowing us to work quickly, flexibly, and tailored to unique needs. We undertake contract manufacturing from small to large series.
Large-sized components
The standard anodizing tank size is 1200 × 1000 × 1250 mm. With custom technological solutions, we also undertake the surface treatment of larger aluminum rings up to 3500 mm in diameter.

Aluminum anodizing
Anodic oxidation in three variants
Anodizing is an electrochemical surface treatment process during which an oxide layer of controlled thickness is created on the surface of aluminum. The process begins with degreasing, followed by etching or satin finishing if necessary, then the electrolytic bath, coloring if desired, and finally pore sealing.
Natural anodizing
Primarily intended for corrosion protection, it preserves the natural, metallic appearance of aluminum. Typical layer thickness is 8–20 μm; recommended for mechanical engineering, electronics, medical technology, and construction components.
Color Anodizing
The porous oxide layer makes it possible to create colors. In our plant, we primarily produce black, red, orange, and lemon yellow anodizing, which offers good UV and corrosion resistance thanks to careful pore sealing.
Hard anodizing
Special low-temperature technology that creates an extremely dense and hard oxide layer. Recommended for heavy-duty automotive, mechanical engineering, automation, and special industrial components.

Aluminum passivation with SurTec 650 technology
Passivation is a chemical conversion process during which a thin, continuous protective layer containing chromium(III) forms on the surface of aluminum. It improves corrosion resistance, stabilizes surface electrical resistance, and provides an excellent base for painting, powder coating, and adhesive bonding. The layer is only a few microns thick, so the dimensions of the component remain virtually unchanged—making it suitable even for high-precision components with tight tolerances. The process complies with the requirements of standards such as MIL-DTL-5541, MIL-DTL-81706, and EN 12487, among others.
